Okay, so is Ellie absolutely deprived because I haven't enrolled her in either preschool or dance class? Pretty much everyone I know with a 4-year old has enrolled them in both. I'm starting to question my parenting choices!!!
okay, deprived is for sure not the right word!! i actually know several people who aren't enrolling their kids in preschool and tons of kids who aren't in a dance class! you are an awesome mom and you know what's best for your kids!!
I think that you give the girls the best attention they need, which is a mother's love. Several of my friends waited until their kids were in 1st/2nd grade to enroll them in extra activities. Seems to work well as the kids are already adjusted to attending school.
One of the drawbacks to preschools are that the kids get sick so easily and often.

Hey - I wasn't in dance class at age 4 and I turned out alright. Still can't dance though.
